Before my short-term mission Elder Eric Robertson (one of the Zone Leaders in Västerhaninge) called me and asked me to help organize a Family Home Evening Group for the investigators in our area. After a few weeks the news had spread and the group had grown to include all the missionaries in the Stockholm area. For about 3 years I planned and organized (with the help of the Zone Leaders) activities that was held every Saturday.
During my short-term mission I worked in the Mission Home, taking care of the 3 children, when President and Sister Kimball was traveling to other areas. I worked there until the 30th of May 1988, when I left for USA.
I married Richard Curtis on June 23, 1989, never to return to live in Sweden again. (e-mail me and I will tell you of Pres Kimball's revelation about that, before I left). Richard has been in the Air Force, since October of 1989 and will retire 2009. I am a Domestic Logistic Engineer (home maker), home schooler, running MilitaryLink LLC with my husband. We have two beautiful daughters, Amanda (Marie) born 1995, while in Italy with USAF and Emma (Christina) born 2000, in Spokane, WA (born at 29 weeks, 4 days, weighing 1 lb. 12 oz). Our Miracle!
I had a blast helping the missionaries, working for the Mission Home and seeing a lot of success before leaving Sweden.
