I was a missionary in the Stockholm area of the mission. My companion and I were out checking names of people that we had contacted in the area and we had run out of names to check. I said to my companion that I thought that we should tract the set of apartments that we were in. He reminded me that it was the middle of a beautiful summer day and that nobody would be home. I told him again that I felt that we should track the appartments. He agreed as long as I did the first door.
I did; when I knocked the door opened. A young lady came to the door and asked what we wanted. I said that we had a very exciting measage that we wanted to share with he. She said that if it was exciting that we could come in and talk with her about it. So we did.
The apartment was small and the table that we sat at had two chairs so my companion was forced to stand. We shared the first discussion with Åsa Lindfors. She said that she would love to have us come back, so we did. At the second discussion she had three chairs at the table and the house was starting to inprove in care. She also commited to baptism and was baptized four weeks later.
Each time we came to see her she grew in the things that she was taught and it showed in her countenance. The gospel truly takes poeple out of the sadness that the world has to offer and gives them the hope that they need to become better sons and daughters of the one true Father. I know that he has done this for me and for Åsa.
