One of the Zone leaders in Sundsvall was having bike problems. They were on the way to visit his 'golden' investigator but she lived out of town and they were not going to be able to make it without the bike. So in desperation he blessed the bike with the priesthood. The bike functined perfectly all the way to the investigator's house. They gave their lesson, which was a huge success, and started home. As they got half way throught town the bike broke apart.
Another Elder in the Zone, upon hearing this story, was very upset. He thought the Zone leader had used his priesthood in a most inapproprate way. He waited for Zone Conference and asked the Mission President, "Can you bless bikes with the Priesthood?"
President Oscarson thought for a minute then said, "Yes, just don't use oil."
